After searching and searching and searching…. THIS was the inspiration I found for our baby girls nursery…
After finding the color scheme, I decided I didn’t want a “theme” but more of a simple elegant look. First, we chose carpet and had it installed.

Next choice to be made was paint color. This was BY FAR the most difficult decision of the nursery building process.
Unfortunately, from this picture, you cannot see a difference because they were such subtle differences. However, paint choosing is no easy task my friends! We (and by we, I mean I) decided on the color to the far right, went to Home Depot and bought a gallon of it with primer included. Adam started painting…
But he ran out of paint… so in the midst of running around like a chicken with my head cut off, my parents ran to the store for us to grab us another gallon. Apparently, although the names matched, Home Depot does not sell the same color twice. Half way through the room, Adam realized the colors were not drying the same…
The second color was MUCH more bright and MUCH more pink than the original. The color the first half of the room was colored could be described as more of a white with a pink tint. Where as the second gallon of paint was more of a baby pink. We hymned and hawed about what to do but ultimately decided that we would just paint over the original with the second color as neither of us hated it.
While Adam was slaving away painting, I was busy shopping LOL… I had to find all the perfect pieces to put in the nursery. So I searched high and low online to find the most elegant elements…
The canopy was purchased from Etsy:CRIB CANOPY
“HELLO GORGEOUS” SIGN
The sign can be purchased from Etsy here: DECORATIVE SIGN
PAPER FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS AND DIAPER CHANGING STATION
These are probably my favorite element of the entire room and can be found here: PAPER FLOWER BACKDROP
The changing pad cover was purchased from Target: CHANGING PAD COVER
Here is the matching diaper stacker: DIAPER STACKER
CURTAINS AND HANDPAINTED SIGNS:
The cutains can be found here: CURTAINS
I did find an adorable BEDDING SET but unfortunately what appeared to be pink online was actually a purplish. That will be returned for a different bedding set but probably not until after Christmas. Charlotte will be sleeping in our room anyways for a while.
Here is the HAMPER.
All the furniture was passed down from Myles.
The crib is DELTA
The changing table is also DELTA BENTLEY
The chair is STORKCRAFT
And the dresser came from Art Van clearance section.
Although the room didn’t necessarily turn out how I expected it to, I am pleased. Its obvious how hard Adam worked to get this nursery done by the time baby girl made her entry into the world so that her stressed mama didn’t have that over her head. We want to thank all of the shops who worked with us to make this nursery a possibility!! If it had not been for your collaborations, our princess’s room would not have turned out so beautifully!
